2024 FIFA U-17 WWC: North Korea reach finals

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – North Korea pipped the USA 1-0 on Wednesday to reach the finals of the 2024 FIFA Under-17 Women’s world cup in Dominican Republic.

It’s the farthest the Americans have gone in the tournament since 2008, when they lost to the same North Korea in the final of the inaugural competition.

The Americans still have a chance to bring home some hardware. They’ll play either England or two-time defending champion Spain, which beat the Americans in the group stage, in the third-place game on Sunday.
