2024 Olympics: Five Africa countries now on medals table

Paris, France – Uganda and Ethiopia have joined South Africa, Tunisia and Egypt on the medals table at the ongoing 2014 Olympics in Paris, France.

Here is how they got on the podium –

SOUTH AFRICA – 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals. Occupying 24th position on the global medals table.

UGANDA – 1 Gold medal and 30th on the table.

ETHIOPIA – 1 Silver medal and 43rd on the table.

TUNISIA – Also 1 Silver medal and 43rd on the table.

EGYPT – 1 bronze medal and 50th on the table.
