
Oshiri (Ebonyi), Nigeria – Supporters and stakeholders at Oshiri in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi have declared support for the second term bid of Gov Francis Nwifuru. ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The people made their declaration on Thursday, during a mega rally held at the community school Oshiri in Onicha Local Government Area of the state.
The rally was organized by members of Oshiri for Gov Nwifuru (OGN) support group.
The wife of the governor, Uzoamaka, appreciated the organisers of the event and promised to take democracy dividend to the grassroots.
She expressed satisfaction towards the support and solidarity for her husband’s administration, commending the former deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Chief Odefa Obasi-Odefa, for spearheading the organisation of such “an eventful programme”.
“Your support will not be taken for granted. Continue to remain united and peaceful as the 2027 election approaches,” she stated.
In their separate remarks, Chief Odefa, Prof. Moses Alo, Mrs Obianuju Odefa, all commended the present administration for examplary service to humanity.
They promised to mobilise for governor Nwifuru’s second term in the 2027 general elections.
Chief Stanley OkoroEmegh, the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who was represented by his Vice, Mr Chinedu Nwali, applauded the supporters for aligning themselves with a “winning movement”.
OkoroEmegh urged the supporters to strengthen the party’s chances at the polls by backing all APC candidates.
The lawmaker representing the Ohanivo Federal Constituency, Chief Nkemkanma Nkama, and Chief Ali Odefa, pledged massive votes to return all party candidates during the 2027 general elections.
