A tragic incident occurred in Nnewichi, Nnewi, Anambra State, three siblings, 5-year-old Ejezie Chimdilim David, 7-year-old Ejezie Chimziterem Dominica, and 9-year-old Ejezie Chikaima Davianawere murdered and hidden in a deep freezer.

Their mother, a lecturer and nurse, left for an exam, and upon returning, found the house door open, which was unusual as the children “always locked the doors whenever they went out to play.”

After an unsuccessful search, the mother and others opened the freezer, where they discovered the children’s bodies. “In despair the deep freezer was opened and behold, the dead bodies of the kids were there,” said their father, Mr. Ejezie Udochukwu.

The police have confirmed the incident, with State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stating that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

“The Commissioner of Police has ordered a full investigation,” Ikenga added.

This tragic event follows another incident a month earlier in Awka, where three siblings were found dead in a car. Local residents are calling for justice and a proper investigation.
