NNPCL appoints Femi Soneye as Chief Corporate Communications officer

Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced the appointment of a communication expert, Mr. Olufemi Oladapo Soneye, as its Chief Corporate Communications Officer.

Soneye, a media guru, is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in both full-time and freelance roles at respected publications in Nigeria, Australia, and the United States of America.

Soneye is a publisher of Per Seconds News.

In his new role, Soneye will lead the Corporate Communications team of the National Oil Company, overseeing brand penetration, strategic communications initiatives, and stakeholder management.

He is a member of prestigious organisations including the Nigerian Union of Journalists, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Guild of Corporate Online Media Publishers.

Soneye previously served as the President of the Nigerian Media Practitioners in Washington, DC.

With a successful career in both Nigeria and the United States, Soneye’s background reflects his passion for media and commitment to addressing the needs of media professionals and the African diaspora.

The appointment of the veteran journalist was announced on Wednesday night by the state-owned oil agency, which said it looked “forward to his valuable contributions to our company.”
