Tunji Braithwaite’s son survives motor accident in Abuja

The son of late elder statesman, Tunji Braithwaite, Olumide Braithwaite, has survived a ghastly motor accident in Abuja.

He is also a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Campaign team during the last general election

The accident occurred in Abuja around 9 am on Saturday.

It was gathered that Braithwaite’s Toyota Hilux pickup van was involved in a head-on collision with an armored bullion around the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN headquarters in the Garki area of Abuja.

Braithwaite, a member of the APC’s presidential media campaign team was said to have lost consciousness at the scene of the accident following the collision.

Emergency services responded swiftly and he was immediately rushed to Garki Hospital for medical attention where he regained consciousness.

The family, in a statement on Sunday, confirmed that Braithwaite was now in a stable condition and responding to treatment.

It said Braithwaite was receiving the best possible care, adding that the medical team had expressed optimism about his recovery.

“Mr Olumide Braithwaite and his family are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support and well wishes from friends, colleagues and the public.

“They request privacy during this time as he focuses on his recovery. Further updates will be provided as necessary,” the statement said.
