The candidate of the Young progressives party YPP for Umuahia East Constituency in the last general elections, Sir Innocent Chimezie Nwachukwu has congratulated the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti on his successful inauguration as the fifth governor of Abia State.

In a congratulatory message to the newly elected Governor of Abia State, Sir Nwachukwu thanked members of the transition committee for their efforts in ensuring a hitch-free inauguration.

“Congratulation Governor Alex Otti on your successful inauguration on the 29th of May 2023. I am particularly pleased that your inauguration as the fifth governor of Abia State was devoid of  distractions and acts of sabotage but ended peacefully amidst mammoth Abians who thronged the venue to witness the event.”

Sir Nwachukwu while urging the new governor to use the mandate given to him by Abians to reposition the state from its shabby and dilapidated state also called on those who lost out in the last election to cooperate and work together with the new government to move the state forward.

“In every contest, there is always a winner and a loser which is the case in the past contest. The election is over, what is left is for all hands to be on deck to ensure that the new administration succeeds in its resolve to move the state forward especially as he has rolled out his developmental blueprints for economic and infrastructural recovery in the state” sir Nwachukwu said.
