Virgin Atlantic appoints YANN stirton as its Nigeria country manager

Virgin Atlantic has announced the appointment of Yann Stirton as its Country Manager for Nigeria.

This is contained in a press statement by Darrin Thomas, Manager, International Marketing and Communications Virgin Atlantic and emailed to 108scoop.com on Thursday.

Yann has worked for Virgin Atlantic for the past 12 years holding various roles in the operations and commercial departments in the UK. 

Yann began at the airline’s Contact Centre before progressing quickly to commercial roles in the Groups and Partnership team.

For the last few years, Yann has been in the airline’s Corporate Sales team, first as an Account Manager before taking the lead in Corporate Sales Development, leading strategy and working very closely with the airline’s Joint Venture partners.  

Yann Stirton, Country Manager, Nigeria, commented: “I am so thrilled to be taking on this role for Virgin Atlantic and experiencing all that our Nigerian route has to offer. I look forward to leading a dynamic team and supporting our partners and customers in a unique market.”

“As Yann steps into this new position, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Justin Bell, who has served the route as Airport and Country Manager for the last ten years. Justin’s commitment and dedication to Lagos has been unwavering.” 

Justin Bell moves to his next role as Country Manager Brazil, the latest addition to the Virgin Atlantic route network. 

Virgin Atlantic operates its daily Lagos-London Heathrow on its A350 -1000. Customers can take to the skies in the airline’s Upper Class, Premium and Economy Light, Classic and Delight cabins and take advantage of over 1000 hours of in-flight entertainment, with the latest films, TV programmes and music channels available throughout the journey.
