Agege LG begins construction of 8 link roads – Council boss

Mr Gbenga Abiola, the Vice Chairman and Supervisor for Works, Agege Local Government at a tour to monitor ongoing construction of eight links roads.

Agege Local Government has embarked on construction of eight link roads simultaneously, the Vice Chairman, Mr Gbenga Abiola, has revealed.

Abiola, who is also the council’s Supervisor for Works, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos.

He said that the Alhaji Ganiyu Egunjobi-led administration was poised in ensuring the links roads ease the plight of motoring public.

Abiola said: “Today, I led a team of council executives as we inspected eight different road projects being constructed simultaneously by Agege Local Government and led by Alhaji Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi.

“This construction is geared towards enabling smooth movement, creation of a more conducive and livable environment.

“It will also tackle flood, reduction of traffic and most importantly to add value to the community in general.”

He said that his team would leave no stone unturned in monitoring the progress and quality of the job, so as to get value for the tax payers’ money.

According to him, efforts will be made to ensure that the roads constructed are ones that will showcase the purpose of the local government.

Calling for the support of the residents, Abiola said, “Together we shall make Agege greater and greater it shall be.”

He said that that the link roads were Oredapo, Adeyemi, Ajibose, Onibeju, Mayaka, Ogunjobi, Capitol-Onibeju and Capitol – Oredapo.
