The Anambra State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Chief Okey Ezenwa, has urged coordinators of the group across the state to mobilise members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to vote for President Bola Tinubu in the party’s presidential primaries.

Ezenwa made the call in a statement issued in Awka on Friday ahead of the APC presidential primaries scheduled for Saturday.

He said the exercise would be conducted through direct primaries in electoral wards across the country, where party members were expected to vote for Tinubu as the APC presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

According to him, coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the zonal, local government and ward levels in Anambra should ensure massive mobilisation of party members in support of the president.

“In Anambra, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors are expected to lead the charge, vote massively for the president and mobilise members of the party in their areas to do same,” he said.

Ezenwa said Tinubu deserved a second term in office in view of what he described as the administration’s achievements in the last three and a half years.

He said the president had laid a solid foundation for economic recovery and growth through the introduction of a unified foreign exchange regime, fuel subsidy removal, stabilisation of the naira and infrastructural development.

He listed some ongoing road projects receiving priority attention from the Federal Government to include the Badagry-Sokoto Superhighway, Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, and the Enugu-Umuahia-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway.

“These roads are the main catalysts for economic development.

“Besides, the South East Development Commission established by the president has remained a game changer in the region’s drive for infrastructural and industrial development.

“He made it possible after decades of neglect and abandonment and it is to President Tinubu’s credit,” he said.

Ezenwa also said prices of staple food items were beginning to decline despite the ongoing planting season.

He urged APC members in the state to participate actively in the primaries, noting that the process marked the beginning of efforts to secure Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
