The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the Solution Marshal in Anambra have appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission to guarantee transparency in the Nov. 8 governorship poll.

Solution Marshal is a prominent pressure group within APGA, which is committed to mobilising grassroots support for Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s victory for second-term.

The State Chairman of APGA, Mr Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, and Convener of Solution Marshal, Mr Celestine Anere, made the appeal during a joint strategic meeting tagged “Synergising for Victory”.

In an address, Obi-Okoye applauded the initiative and assured the group of the party’s full support.

He underscored the practical approach the party was taking toward winning the election.

“I am not a theoretical politician, I am a practical one. I know how to win elections.

“This gathering is not for entertainment, it is a strategic mobilisation meeting.

“Every local government chairman must collaborate fully with Solution Marshal.

“We are going into this election to win, and no one should underestimate our resolve,” Obi-Okoye said.

He urged on Solution Marshal operatives to be physically present at every polling unit on election day to safeguard APGA’s votes.

Also, Anere emphasised the group’s commitment to collaborating with APGA’s leadership to ensure a resounding victory at every polling unit.

“Gov. Soludo has performed exceptionally well, and we are prepared to traverse every community to ensure his re-election.

“We are not just coming out en masse to vote for Soludo, we are going to protect the votes to make sure that they reflect our wishes,” he said.

Also speaking at the meeting, the Majority Leader of the state Assembly, Mr Ikenna Ofodeme, hailed Solution Marshal’s role in the party’s grassroots mobilisation.
