Arik Air receives commendation from Association for Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria

Arik Air has been commended by the Kano Zone of the Association for Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria (AHUON) for its outstanding contribution to the success of 2023 Hajj operations in the Zone.

The association also gave a Gold Award of Excellence to Arik Air’s Chief Commercial Officer, Captain Amir Kabiru Gaya for his remarkable contribution to the success of 2023 Hajj operations in the Zone.

While presenting the award of recognition to Arik Air, the Kano Zone of AHOUN led by Alhaji Yahaya Nasidi praised the airline for its professionalism and tenacity throughout the entire process.

Commenting on the award, Arik Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Roy Ilegbodu said: “We sincerely thank the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and AHOUN for the opportunity to be of service to the nation. It was an experience we will always cherish”.

Arik Air’s Chief Commercial Officer, Captain Amir Gaya who was also recognised by AHUON comments: “I want to thank the whole of Kano Zonal executives of AHUON for the award. Thanks to our wonderful team members, we are really pleased to share our expertise and superb service during the Hajj exercise.”

For the just concluded Hajj operations, Arik Air flew about 6,000 pilgrims across the three zones, namely, Lagos, Abuja, and Kano.
