The Global Director, National Coalition of Tinubu’s Support group, Dr. Oladoyin Johnson has said that Badagry Local Government is among the best top five performing local governments in Lagos State.

Johnson said this during the distribution of the Renewed Hope Asiwaju Food Palliative to 1,000 people which held at the Badagry Secretariat in Lagos State.

The director described the Badagry chairman, Mr Babatunde Hunpe as a reasonable politician, reasonable thinker and a good and performing chairman that people were proud of as a result of his progressive grassroots policies in Badagry.

“We have only five chairmen that are doing well in Lagos State and Badagry chairman is among the top five and this is because of his evident works to his constituency.

“I urge you in his constituency to continue to support his administration for greater good and in case you have any complaint, make it known to him because he has a listening ear and will attend to it,” he said.

Johnson suggested that a public complaint box be created somewhere in the Secretariat where people could drop their complaints or make suggestions for improvement.

“Once this is done, the chairman should be the only one that has access to it so that he will be able to monitor every complaint and ensure that every suggestion gets to him,” he said.

The director urged everyone in the community to get their permanent voters card and be ready for the coming elections so that the All Progressive Congress could continue and finish the good works they had started.

“In the past few years, Badagry used to be anti progressive but now you are one of the best performing local government area and we are proud of you.

“Get your voters card and ensure that you vote your party back into power so that more developments in all sectors will continue in your community,” Johnson said.

The chairman, Badagry Local Government, Mr Babatunde Hunpe said that President Bola Tinubu had been doing a lot to improve the standard of living of people and had mandated those at the grassroots level to touch the lives of people economically and socially.

“Going by this mandate, every month in the local government, we empower small scale businessmen and women with N100,000 for 200 people every month and we will soon do the seventh edition.

“Aside that we do a 50 percent discount on our markets days whereby you can buy anything you want for half the price.

“We have already worked on some primary healthcare centres, primary schools, inner streets and a lot of infrastructure has been put in place,” the chairman said.

Hunpe said that 1,000 people benefited from the Renewed Hope Asiwaju Food Palliative to help provide people with food stuffs so that they could alleviate the effect of poverty in the community.

“This is not the first time we are going this because we have done severe distributions in the past, in fact to celebrate one year in office, we recently gave 500 widows and 500 senior citizens food palliatives.

“Very soon we will be commissioning some projects that we have done so far such as the development ongoing at LA Primary School, Ansarudeen Primary School and Muslim Primary School.

“Our Roundabout project is still on and we want to expand our NIN office to three to help so that more people can be attended to faster in the community.

“Apart from the known one at the local government, we will have one at Ajara and another one at Ikoga so all these will be commissioned soon,” Hunpe said.

Meanwhile, Mr Feyijimi Aderotimi, Farmer and one of the beneficiaries of the palliative thanked the chairman for the food saying that it will go a long way at feeding his family.

Mrs Oluwakemi Ogunbiyi, a trader appreciated Hunpe for the Asiwaju food palliative praying more elevation and success in their government.

Mr Oluwaseun Obilaja, a businessman said that he was impressed with the quantity of the palliative saying that he would not need to think about buying food stuffs for a while.
