All roads lead to Karaiskakis stadium, Piraeus in Greece where two reigning UEFA European Champions, Manchester City and Sevilla will meet in this year’s Super Cup fixture to decide the top club side in Europe.

Making its maiden UEFA Super Cup appearance, City will seize the opportunity to add to another piece of silverware to their ever-increasing trophy cabinet this season after coming up short against Arsenal in Community Shield penalty shootout.

The citizens are favourites to lift the trophy over Sevilla who lost their first 2023-2024 La Liga opener at home to Valencia last week Friday.

However, having lost four consecutive matches to City, the Mendilbar’s side are no push-overs as they have experience with six appearances in different finals of the UEFA Super Cup and winning it once.

Going by recent achievements and clashes between both teams, one may conclude the odds are in favour of Manchester City, but it is not going to be a walk in the park for the citizens.
