The Benue State ADC leadership delegation, led by the Governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Herman Hembe, paid a visit to the ADC Presidential candidate, H.E. Atiku Abubakar, at his residence in Abuja.

Rt. Hon. Hembe highlighted the worsening insecurity and hardship in Benue, stressing the need for stronger collaboration between the federal and state governments to restore peace and protect lives and livelihoods. He also commended Atiku for his position on the fuel subsidy, saying it resonates with struggling Nigerians.

Added to insecurity, Hon. Hembe stressed the need to elect a farmer friendly government at the center to resuscitate the Benue farmer who had suffered from the neglect and huge agricultural product import stance of the current Tinubu government.

Responding, Atiku expressed confidence in Benue and promised that, if elected, he would work closely with the state government to restore lasting peace. He described the crisis as largely a farmer-herder conflict and pledged the necessary support to address it.

Former VP Atiku Abubakar also promised to bring on board lofty ideas that would make the Nigerian farmer great again.

In his vote of thanks, Rt. Hon. Terngu Tsegba said the ADC is gaining widespread acceptance in Benue, with many residents seeking an alternative to the APC. He thanked Atiku for receiving the delegation and expressed confidence in working together for victory.

Hon. Hembe was joined in this visit by his running mate, Hon. Abba John Abba, Esq., Distinguished Senator Emmanuel Yisa Orker-Jev, state chairman, Rt. Hon. Samson Okwu, Hon. Mrs. Abeje Egwa, Rt. Hon. Terseer Tsumba, Alhaji Musa Plato, Hon. Robert Tyough, Hon. Dr. David Olofu, Hon. Benjamin Mzondu, Hon. Torkuma Bunde Iyongo, Hon. Atsar Terver, Hon. Benjamin Gbe, Hon. Innocent Omudu, Hon. Stephen Adoyi, Hon John Ogbu amongst others.
