BSN to host trauma healing international conference on community…

The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is set to host the Trauma Healing International Community of Practice Conference in Lagos from February 19-20, 2025.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Lagos, Benjamin Mordi, BSN’s Manager of Media, announced that the conference, themed “Healing Trauma in a World of Uncertainty: Navigating Global Crises and Building Resilience,” will take place at Protea Hotel, Ikeja.

The event will bring together 15 Bible Societies across Africa, alongside representatives from the American Bible Society, as well as trauma healing practitioners, mental health professionals, religious leaders, and community workers.

Conference Focus and Activities
Participants will examine the far-reaching impact of trauma in the context of ongoing global crises such as conflicts, natural disasters, economic instability, and insurgency.

The two-day event will feature:
✔ Keynote speeches from experts in trauma healing
✔ Panel discussions on best practices and innovative approaches
✔ Interactive sessions on building resilience at individual and community levels
✔ Case studies and success stories from Bible Societies and other trauma-focused organizations in Nigeria

BSN is a nonprofit, interdenominational Christian organization dedicated to translating, publishing, and distributing the Bible in Nigerian languages.

The society also raises funds for Bible-related initiatives and runs programs that help individuals engage with the Scriptures for personal and communal transformation.
