The spirit of philanthropy and brotherly love came alive in Owerri, Imo State, as a distinguished son of Igboland and illustrious member of the Waco, Texas Branch of the People’s Club of Nigeria International (PCNI), Chief/Dr. Acho Orabuchi (Iyi Ogberuru; Ebubedike Ezimba-Ogberuru) made a heartwarming donation to an orphanage home in Owerri.

The humanitarian gesture, which was marked by joy, smiles and thanksgiving, saw Chief Dr. Orabuchi reaching out to the vulnerable children with essential items and financial support aimed at giving them a sense of belonging and hope for a better tomorrow.

Chief Dr. Acho Orabuchi, who is widely celebrated for his humanitarian disposition and community development efforts, said the donation was borne out of his deep passion for humanity and his commitment to upholding the core values of the People’s Club of Nigeria International, which is anchored on love, unity, and service to humanity.

According to him, giving back to society, especially to the less privileged, remains a moral obligation that every well-meaning individual must embrace.

In his words: “These children are our future and our responsibility. It gives me great joy to put smiles on their faces. This is not just a donation; it is an investment in humanity and an expression of God’s love.”

He further disclosed that this donation marks the beginning of a broader philanthropic drive, as he will be extending similar support to other organizations and foundations that cater for less-privileged people across Imo State and beyond.

Members of staff and children of the orphanage home could not hide their excitement as they poured encomiums and offered heartfelt prayers for Chief Dr. Orabuchi for his kindness and generosity.

They described him as a man with a large heart, whose title Iyi Ogberuru and Ebubedike Ezimba-Ogberuru truly reflects his towering benevolence and his role as a pillar of support to the downtrodden.

The management of the home commended the Waco, Texas Branch of PCNI for raising men of honour and integrity like Chief Dr. Orabuchi, who have continued to make the Igbo nation proud in the diaspora through impactful community service.

This noble act by Chief Dr. Acho Orabuchi has once again reaffirmed the fact that true wealth lies not in what we have, but in what we give to uplift others. Also, this in accordance with the principles espoused by the National and International President of the People’s Club of Nigeria International (PCNI), Chief Barr. Fidelis O. Onyebueke (Ahaejiagamba 1 of Mbano), Chairman Governing Council and Patron Trustee, HRM Barr. Sir L.O. Igwe Arinze, and the Chairman of the People’s Club of Nigeria International, Waco, Texas Branch, Prince Sir Iyke Ginigeme.
