The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Youth Vanguard has encouraged the youth to actively participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to have a say in elections.

Yusuf Shehu-Tijani, the National Coordinator of ADC Youth Vanguard, made the call in a press statement on Friday, adding that youth participation will bring about inclusion in Nigeria’s political space and help in shaping Nigeria’s future.

ADC Youth Vanguard believes that the voices, perspectives, and leadership of our nation’s young people are crucial in shaping policies, decisions, and the future of Nigeria.

Shehu-Tijani noted that the youth bring unique insights and energy to political discourse, saying that by registering to participate in the exercise, they should also join the ADC political party.

He also urged the youth to attend town hall meetings or consider running for the office of their choice.

“Youth can drive change, advocate for issues that matter to them, and contribute to building a more inclusive Nigeria come 2027.

“A lot of young people should take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration to make their voices louder as they will be involved in politics that may affect education, safety, health, and future opportunities.

“The youth in politics can be role models, encouraging others to get involved and breaking barriers in leadership. Young people ensure that policies reflect the needs and aspirations of all Nigerians.

“The change we all desire for our beloved country will not happen by mere wishes. It will only happen when we rise, organize, and bring more people under the great umbrella of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

“I urge each of you to go out boldly, talk to your friends, families, colleagues, and neighbors, and encourage them to register as members of ADC. Every new member strengthens our voice, our structure, and our movement for the liberation of Nigeria.

“Together, let us mobilize, unite, and work for the success of our great party and the future of our great nation.

“ADC! Arise, ADC! Arise, AD&C! Arise and Shine Nigeria,”” he said.
