The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL) says petrol scarcity in some parts of the country has been taken care of.

It advised motorists and other users of the commodity not to engage in panic buying.

NNPCL attributed the recent fuel queues in Lagos and some locations to the reduced depot load-outs in Apapa, Lagos.

It said in a statement that the root cause of the scarcity has since been addressed.

“We assure all Nigerians that there is ample supply with sufficiency of at least 30 days, distribution will normalize over the next couple of days.”

However, marketers have blamed the scarcity in Lagos and Abuja on the rise of dollars against the naira, hoarding of the commodity and bad roads.
