The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ebonyi State has declared total support for the re-election of Governor Francis Nwifuru while declaring its determination to win other elective positions in the 2027 general elections.

This position was made known by the APGA Senatorial Candidate for Ebonyi North Zone, Chief Chikaodili Ojimba who remarked that the governor has done well in his first tenure and therefore deserves re-election.

Ojimba, who is National Leader of the recently launched Chipping Sellers Movement, urged APGA members to intensify grassroots mobilisation for the governor and APGA candidates.

“Our primary objective is to ensure the governor’s re-election and secure victory for all APGA candidates in the elections.

“We would expand our scope beyond Ebonyi North senatorial zone to strengthen the party’s electoral prospects across the state.

He identified the movement’s primary political objectives as securing victory for APGA candidates in the 2027 general elections and supporting Nwifuru’s second-term ambition.

The movement calls for issue-based campaigns and peaceful political engagement while abhoring insults, intimidation and violence in the pursuit of electoral victory.”

He also urged the movement’s leadership to adopt an inclusive approach which will address concerns of members and sustain its community-oriented programmes beyond the election.

The APGA Candidate for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, Barrister Tochukwu Ogalagu (T–Man) had called on members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and voter education ahead of the elections.

“Our candidates’ programmes need to be effectively communicated coupled with organisational discipline and adequate voter education,

“APGA supporters need to familiarise the electorate with the voting process and the party symbols through which candidates would be identified on the ballot.

“We should guard against misinformation and inflammatory political rhetoric, as peaceful engagement and sustained contact with voters are essential to the party’s electoral strategy.”

The National President of the Chipping Sellers Movement, Chief Joseph Emeka Nwobiya, said the organisation was a non-governmental initiative to support individuals through educational assistance and other intervention programmes.
