Federal Government College (Junior) Ijanikin, Lagos, has emerged as the winner of the 6th edition of the ‘You Can Be Their Eyes’ Bible Quiz Competition, organized by the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN).

Represented by students Gideon Oghorodi and Ebenezer Ajayi, the school secured 70 points to claim victory over seven other participating special schools.

The competition, which took place in Lagos, was specifically designed for visually impaired students.

Gideon Oghorodi expressed pride in his achievement, emphasizing that physical challenges do not define one’s ability to succeed.

King’s College Junior and Senior, Obalende, Lagos, earned the first and second runners-up positions, scoring 55 and 40 points, respectively.

Pastor Samuel Sanusi, General Secretary of the BSN, highlighted the importance of inclusivity and the organization’s mission to make the Bible accessible to everyone, regardless of their physical or social limitations.

He also called on Nigerians to support the physically challenged and promote inclusivity in all sectors of society.

Other schools that took part in the competition included Federal Government College (Senior) Ijanikin, Lagos; Lagos State Model Senior College, Agbowa, Ikorodu; Vocational School for the Blind, Oshodi; and Pacelli School for the Blind, Surulere.
