Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, known for her political career as the former Minister of Women’s Affairs under President Bola Tinubu, has made a dramatic return to Nollywood with the release of her new film Hatred.

After being relieved of her duties in October 2024, Kennedy-Ohanenye is now focusing on her acting career once again.

She shared the news of the film’s release with her followers, stating, “I’m excited to announce the release of my latest project, Hatred,” alongside a link to the film on Kenuj TV’s YouTube channel.

Previously, Kennedy-Ohanenye starred in several well-received films, including Saving My Marriage, Hunting the Angel, and The Cow Girls.

She has collaborated with some of Nollywood’s finest, such as Segun Arinze, Ngozi Ezeonu, and Linda Osifo.

In addition to her accomplishments as an actress, Kennedy-Ohanenye is also a lawyer and entrepreneur.

Despite her brief political stint, where she became the first woman to run for president under the APC in 2023, she continues to make her mark in Nollywood, bringing her talent and passion back to the big screen.

She noted, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to be back in a space I love. Hatred is just the beginning of more to come.”
