Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry said they have reactivated plans to hold the Made in Nigeria Goods Expo in the United Arab Emirates this year.

The event which was postponed because of the visa ban on Nigeria by the UAE, will now be held in December 2023.

The organization said that the event is one of a series of events designed to project Made in Nigerian goods in the Middle East.

Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George, who is the President of Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry said that the Middle East is a big market and there is a whole lot of Nigerian-made goods that can be achieved in the market.

“The more markets we have, the better for our producers”

“We are creating a platform for Nigerian producers to reach the global stage. Imagine if people who sell a thousand units can double and also earn foreign exchange at the same time, this what the program is about”, he said.

The event is part of the Economic Cooperation and Business Development Forum (ECBD Forum), which is taking Made in Nigerian goods across Europe, America, Asia and other African countries.

ECBD Forum is an annual economic, bilateral trade partnership, foreign direct investment, and business development forum, according to the official website, www.nigeriaecbdforum.com.

The event is also an international summit; a business development platform for partnership building and global networking for both government and private sectors.

The Middle East and Gulf edition of the ECBD Forum will be taking place in Kuwait, Dubai and Qatar from December 2 to 8, 2023.

Globe Chambers of Commerce and Industry released the following date for the events in the Middle East.

Kuwait – December 2 – 3, 2023
Dubai – December 4 – 6, 2023
Qatar – December 7 – 8, 2023

“We need global access for locally made goods; we need to create a global supply chain in the international market”

“The plan for the program is on and we are working with all relevant government and corporate agencies to make the event work very well”, Buchi George said.
