Gov. Mbah inaugurates new Local Government Service Commission

Gov. Peter Mbah of Enugu State has inaugurated the newly appointed members of theLocal Government Service Commission.

Mbah, at the ceremony on Monday, charged the team, led by Nana Ogbodo, to ensure efficient administration of the Local Government system for the next five years.

He reminded members of the commission of the high expectations placed on their shoulders, emphasizing that his administration’s development model prioritizes grassroots transformation.

He noted that efficient local government administration is a necessity, given the critical role it plays in driving development at the grassroots level.

The governor described the Local Government Service Commission as one of the foremost institutions established under Enugu State’s Local Government laws.

He underscored the importance of integrity in leadership, charging the commission members to uphold the highest standards of integrity and accountability in their duties.

AMC News24 reports that the inauguration is the latest in a series of appointments and inaugurations by Mbah, who recently sworn in 20 newly appointed commissioners to constitute the State Executive Council.
