The governor who described widowhood as a community challenge, called on well-meaning individuals to emulate Mrs Egwu who had been celebrating widows for over 20 years.

According to him, Mrs Egwu’s Widowcare Foundation has created a situation where widows are not left behind and promised to support the initiative.

The Chairman of the occasion, and former Minister of Education, Senator Sam Egwu, appreciated his wife for her compassion, generosity and consistency in the healthcare delivery services, education and empowerment of the downtrodden in the state.

Egwu, represented by Dr John Otu, commended partners for supporting the foundation.
