
The Ijaw Nation Development Group (INDG) has felicitated Mr Regent Youmor, a former President of Ijaw Community in Lagos State, who attained 70 years of age on Saturday.
In a congratulatory message signed by its President, Dr Ephraim Sobere Owoh, INDG said that Youmor’s life had been characterised by wisdom, resilience, service and invaluable contributions to humanity.
The group described Youmor, a Peace Ambassador, as a great Ijaw man and a detribalised Nigerian.
“We heartily felicitate with Elder Regent Youmor on the remarkable occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.
“Today, we celebrate not only the gift of 70 fruitful years but also a life marked by wisdom, resilience, service and invaluable contributions to humanity.
“Reaching this significant milestone is a testament to God’s abundant grace, favour and faithfulness through the seasons of life,” it said.
The group prayed God to bless Youmor with greater wisdom, good health, peace of mind and strength to contribute more to the development of Ijaw land and the entire Nigeria.
Also felicitating Youmor, a renowned motivational speaker, Alaere Kemi Levi, said Youmor had been exceptional in leadership and had made much impact in Ijaw land and the entire Nigeria.
“You are a man of wisdom whose words inspire confidence and direction.
“You never hesitate to offer guidance with patience, maturity and genuine concern,” Levi said.
She said that Youmor hated trouble and constantly promoted peace, unity and understanding.
“In a world where many seek conflict, you have chosen the path of wisdom, humility, and reconciliation,” she added.
Levi said that Youmor had continued to demonstrate that growth, learning and service to humanity would never stop.
“Thank you for your unwavering commitment, sacrifices, leadership and passion for the progress of our people.
“As you celebrate this special birthday anniversary, may God bless you with excellent health, greater strength, divine protection and abundant peace,” she prayed.
Levi also prayed God to grant Youmor wisdom that would continue to illuminate the path for generations to come.
In an interview with NAN, Youmor thanked God for granting him much grace.
He advised Ijaw people, especially the youth, to shun violence and greed and remain law-abiding.
“To all Nigerians, I plead for peaceful coexistence,” Youmor, who was appointed a Peace Ambassador by the Ijaw Community in America and Europe under the platform of Ijaw Nations Forum, said.
