Gunmen Attack Apostle Suleman, Killing 7 Of Aides

Controversial clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries has just escaped an assassination attempt.

Our reporter, learnt that the convoy of the Nigerian televangelist was reportedly attacked on Friday, Oct. 21.

According to TV360Nigeria, seven of the cleric’s entourage were killed in the assault.

Dickson Omodiale Osajie, an International Certified Security Expert, and a Global Security Analyst, confirmed the attack on Apostle Suleman’s convoy on Twitter.

“Brethren, Apostle Johnson Suleman just got off the phone with me now. He escaped Assassin’s this afternoon. Sadly his 7 members were all gone down. May God rest their soul?”

The Apostle, his wife and children were said to be travelling along the Benin-Auchi road when unknown gunmen opened fire on his entourage.

The reports said that the controversial cleric survived the attack on his convoy but his aides who were shot died during the attack which is believed to have been carried out in an attempt to kidnap the cleric.

Suleman’s vehicle which is said to be badly damaged had escaped narrowly with the rims as the tyres had been shot.

An unconfirmed report indicated that Apostle Suleman’s first daughter was shot during the attack on his convoy by unknown gunmen.

It is unclear if the Apostle’s daughter who was shot survived the ordeal.
