Abakaliki, Nigeria – An Ebonyi business Mogul, Mr Darlington Ugota, says young people should embrace hard work to equip themselves for the future.

Ugota, the Chief Executive Officer of Valington Homes and Properties,
urged them to be bold, courageous, believe more in themselves and take proactive steps in contributing to development at the state and national levels.

Ugota, who is also founder of the Esthington Sports Club, gave the advise on Monday, while speaking to newsmen on the 29th anniversary of the creation of Ebonyi state and the nation’s independence.

He said reshaping oneself and laying a good foundation are keys that can spark growth and development.

“I want to encourage the youths; you know it is not easy to have a government that listens to the people just as Gov. Francis Nwifuru’s leadership is people driven and the vision – “people’s charter of needs” agenda – is not seen anywhere.

“So, use every available resources and opportunities to build capacity and make our leaders proud because that’s the only way we can get better.

“The state will only progress when we have so many persons who are doing well. I want the young people to be inspired by the current developments happening in the state and encouragement from our dear leader, Gov. Nwifuru to do better.

“Opportunity comes every day and that is the truth. I charge the youths to prepare and believe that tomorrow will be better for them”, he added.

He applauded the rapid and significant development in the state since its creation.

“I am also excited to celebrate the state at 29. We know how the struggles began since 29 years ago.

“The basic infrastructure, improvement in our educational system and agriculture, among other achievements, are strides we should be grateful for and believe we will do better as we make progress,” Ugota added.
