How Lagos PDP Chair regains freedom from kidnappers

Mr Philip Aivoji, the abducted Lagos State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been released from kidnappers’ den.

Alhaji Hakeem Amode, the party’s spokesman made this known in a message in the early hours of Monday.

He said that Aivoji was released after four days in kidnappers’ den.

The message is titled, “Lagos State PDP Chairman released from Kidnappers”.

“Hon. Philip Olabode Aivoji the Lagos State PDP Chairman is free at last after 4days in the Kidnapper den.

“We use this opportunity to appreciate your prayers most importantly cos God’s mercies was visible all the way.

“Thank you all for your concerns and prayers,” Amode said.

Recalled that Aivoji was reportedly kidnapped on Thursday at Ogere area of Ogun State, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The party chairman was reportedly coming from the PDP South-West zonal meeting held in Ibadan, Oyo State on Thursday.

The abductors reportedly contacted his family and were demanding N200m ransom.
The party had called on security agencies and government authorities to intervene promptly and secure the release of its abducted chairman.
