The Women In Christ Ministry (WIC) of the Love of God in Christ Church (LOGIC), has called on members to recognise their worth, embrace their identity, and live out the transformative power of being women in Christ.

The WIC Lead and Co-Pastor, LOGIC, Pst Amaka Flourish-Peters, made the call at a programme organised by the ministry to commemorate the 2024 International Women’s Day (IWD) on Friday night at LOGIC headquarters in Lekki Phase One area of Lagos State.

IWD is marked annually on March 8 and this year’s theme is “Inspire Inclusion”.

“Today, as we gather to celebrate IWD, we do so, not just in recognition of our societal roles, but more profoundly in celebration of our identity, inclusion, and our divine calling in Christ.

“Our ministry, WIC, stands on the vision of creating a community where every woman recognises her true nature, position, and location in Christ.

“Our mission is deeply rooted in the gospel of God’s grace, aiming for transformation and wholeness in all areas of our lives, thereby making the grace at work within us visible to the world, “ she said.

The pastor said that, in celebration of IWD, the women were reminded that their identity were not tied to worldly status or possessions but to Christ, who possessed them.

According to her, this realisation elevates the women above materialistic definitions of worth, anchoring their values in relationship with Christ.

“Knowing who we have inside us, Christ transforms how we view ourselves and our capabilities.

“As women in Christ, we embody the grace, strength, and dignity bestowed upon us by our faith, making us unique bearers of His light and love.

“Our identity as women in Christ should permeate our thoughts, actions, and interactions, ensuring that we reflect His grace and truth in everything we do, “ she said.

Flourish-Peters urged the women to remember that inclusion in Christ’s family was a testament to God’s boundless love and grace.

According to her, the beautiful tapestry of God’s family is woven with threads of diversity, united by the blood of Christ.

“Inclusion in this divine family means we have been chosen, adopted, and loved with the same fervour God has for Jesus.

“This adoption grants us equal access to the Father’s love and promises.

“Such profound inclusion breaks down barriers such as male or female, rich or poor, affirming our equal standing in God’s eyes.

“Understanding our identity and inclusion in Christ compels us to live out this reality in every aspect of our lives.

“It challenges us to embrace the possibilities laid before us, to walk in the righteousness conferred upon us, and to boldly claim our place in the family of God, “ she said.
