This morning, I bring you all Calvary greetings and remind us that God – the I AM THAT I AM, the Alpha and the Omega, the Omniscient and the Omnipotent – still rules in the affairs of men.
To those who confidently say that Atiku Abubakar cannot be President of Nigeria, I respectfully remind you of the timeless words of Scripture:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”
— Isaiah 55:8*
Politics is ultimately a human endeavour, but destiny belongs to God. The man whom circumstances appear to exclude today may be the very man Providence chooses tomorrow. Therefore, let no political calculation become a declaration of what God can or cannot do.
Because what God cannot do does not exist.
If God wills Atiku Abubakar to be President of Nigeria, no party, politician, prediction, opposition or human arrangement can prevent it. And if God wills otherwise, no amount of human effort can make it happen.
Let us therefore debate our politics with conviction, pursue our aspirations with courage, but speak about the will of God with humility.
God remains sovereign.
