Lagos doctor bags life imprisonment for raping wife’s niece

Embattled popular Lagos-based Doctor, Femi Olaleye and Managing Director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping his wife’s niece.

Rahman Oshodi, the judge at the special offences and domestic violence court in Lagos, on Tuesday, convicted Olaleye on a two-count charge of defilement of a child and sexual assault by penetration.

Recalled that the Lagos-based medical doctor March opened his defence before Lagos Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court, in alleged defilement case involving his 16-year-old wife’s niece.

The defilement and sexual assault by penetration was alleged to have committed between March 2020 and November 2021.

In December 2022, Olaleye however pleaded not guilty to the charges.
