The Director, North West Area Office II Sokoto of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Mr Anthony Nzoka has urged the 2025 Batch C Corps Members deployed to Rivers state to let their impact be felt by people of the state.
Nzoka gave the advice on Thursday at the state NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai Local Government Area of the state while addressing the corps members during a visit.
The director urged the corps members to work diligently and selflessly to make the people of the state proud and happy.
“You should acquire skills and be ready to provide effective leadership in your places of Primary Assignment,.
“Leadership comes to those who are prepared for it as you should use the service year to build bridges of national unity and integration.
“This will be through meaningful relationships that can endure for a lifetime.”
The Rivers State–Born director further advised the corps members to be conscientious in the discharge of their duties as may be assigned to them by their corps employers.
“I enjoin you to be security conscious, respect the culture and tradition of the people of your host communities and dress properly.
“You should decently, be accountable to your fellow corps members, abhor the abuse of the social media and do not engage in useless expedition.”
The State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mr. Moses Oleghe had informed the director that the corps members deployed to Rivers state are well-behaved.
“They are passionate and willing to make positive impacts at the camp and in their Places of Primary Assignment.”
“They are one of the best set of corps members in recent times, in the state.”
He described the visiting director as a deeply committed, dedicated, and trustworthy officer who has given his best for the growth of the NYSC.
The director was entertained by the NYSC cultural dance and a beautiful man o war display.
