
The Olu of Agege Kingdom, Oba Kamila Oyedeji Isiba, alongside a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kayode Opeifa, have thrown their weight behind all APC candidates, urging party members and residents to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of forthcoming elections in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
They made the call during an Independence Day celebration organised by the Sule Shakiru Akindele Enimakure Campaign Organisation in Agege/Orile Agege, Lagos, where party faithful gathered in large numbers to commemorate Nigeria’s independence and reaffirm their political commitment.
Speaking at the event, Oba Isiba stressed the importance of unity among party supporters, noting that sustained support for the APC would ensure continuity in governance and development initiatives.
The monarch urged residents of Agege and its environs to remain steadfast and work collectively towards delivering overwhelming votes for the party at all levels.
Also addressing the gathering, Opeifa called on party members to commence door-to-door campaigns and community engagements to galvanise support for APC candidates.
He emphasised that the forthcoming elections would require coordinated efforts to secure victory for President Tinubu and other party flag bearers.
The event, which drew prominent APC figures and aspirants, featured endorsements for key candidates including those contesting governorship, deputy governorship, senatorial and House of Assembly seats in Lagos State.
Among those highlighted were Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Sonayon-James Damilola, Idiat Oluranti Adebule, and Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, among others, all of whom were presented as credible leaders capable of advancing the party’s agenda.
According to him, ” We are at the Top and we will continue to communicate with them at the top, we spoke to his excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he has assured us and asked us to continue the good work. Governor Sanwo-Olu also told us to continue. Teresa is nothing like APM. The only party in Lagos is APC.”
Convener of the programme and House of Assembly hopeful for Agege Constituency 02, Shakiru Sule Akindele Enimakure, described the gathering as a strategic platform to unite party members and strengthen mobilisation efforts at the grassroots.
He noted that the Independence Day celebration was not only symbolic but also an opportunity to reinforce political awareness and participation among residents.
The colourful event featured cultural displays, music, games and community interactions, reflecting a blend of political engagement and festive celebration.
Party leaders at the event reiterated their commitment to ensuring a decisive victory for APC candidates, urging supporters to translate their enthusiasm into votes during the elections.
