NAN, Harde Business School explore partnership on capacity building

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and Harde Business School have initiated discussions on a multi-level strategic partnership aimed at strengthening capacity building, digital learning, and communication expertise across sectors.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the partnership meeting was the fruit of the courtesy visit of NAN to the business school on Thursday in Lagos.

At the meeting , Mr Dami Oguntunde, the Co- founder and Chief Executive Officer, Harde Business School, outlined the institution’s broad-based offerings, spanning executive education, digital learning platforms, and bespoke corporate training.

Oguntunde said its Business Leadership Executive Programme integrated courses in soft skills such as emotional intelligence, communication, and public speaking; innovation-driven competencies including design thinking and critical thinking.

He listed others as core business management areas such as strategy, finance and negotiation.

He also said the programme, including emerging modules such as Artificial Intelligence for business leaders, had trained over 3,000 mid-to senior-level executives across industries including banking, telecommunications, oil and gas, construction, and media.

According to him, its learning model combines self-paced online courses hosted on a Learning Management System with interactive weekend webinar sessions facilitated by industry experts, including Abubakar Suleiman, the Managing Director of Sterling Bank.

He also highlighted the schools experience in delivering cohort-based training programmes and customised corporate sessions tailored to organisational needs.

On potential areas of collaboration, both parties identified mutual training opportunities, where Harde Business School would provide capacity-building programmes for NAN staff and its ecosystem, while NAN would offer expertise in media, communication, branding, and public relations.

The partnership is also expected to leverage NAN’s extensive nationwide network and media reach to amplify visibility for educational initiatives, including digital campaigns such as LinkedIn launches and broader public engagement efforts.

Speaking on behalf of NAN, Mrs Ifeyinwa Omowole, the Managing Editor and Head of Lagos Directorate of NAN, emphasised its strategic presence across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with headquarters in Abuja and a sub-headquarters in Lagos.

Omowole noted that NAN had wide reach, including district offices in key locations nationwide, positioning it as a critical hub for news dissemination and public information.

She added that NAN’s platforms spanning traditional wire services and digital channels, including YouTube, provided its partners with significant visibility and credibility.

She reaffirmed its editorial philosophy of prioritising factual, development-focused reporting that served the public interest while maintaining professional standards.

NAN reports that both organisations agreed to formalise discussions through a detailed proposal, with a follow-up meeting scheduled to define specific areas of implementation and partnership structure.
