Nigerian hit the semis in boxing at Solidarity Games

Riyadh, November 7, 2025 – After a stunning first round knock out, Nigeria’s Adeshina Zainab Motunrayo is gurrantteed at least a bronze medal so far at the Islamic Solidarity Games.

The Nigerian pugalist defeated Ghazaleh Rasouli of Iran in the opening bout of the boxing event.

This victory was achieved in the quarter-final stage of the competition, which secured her a place in the semi-final stage and, consequently, guaranteed Nigeria at least a Bronze Medal. 

The bout ended in a stunning first-round knockout just 2 minutes and 28 seconds in.
