Nollywood icon Nkem Owoh celebrates 70th birthday

Veteran Nigerian actor, Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, is marking a significant milestone today as he turns 70. Fans and colleagues are taking to social media to celebrate the iconic actor’s life and achievements.

Owoh kicked off the celebration with a heartfelt post on his Instagram page, expressing gratitude to God and thanking his fans for being part of his journey. “What else can I say? To God be all the glory. Special thanks to you all for being part of this journey. I love you all,” he wrote.

Fellow celebrities, including Ken Erics, Uche Elendu, and Chidi Mokeme, flooded the comment section with birthday wishes, praising Owoh’s contributions to the Nigerian film industry.

Throughout his illustrious career, Owoh has received numerous awards and accolades, including the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2008 and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Born on February 7, 1955, in Udi, Enugu State, Owoh studied Engineering at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State. His remarkable journey in the entertainment industry has left an indelible mark on Nigerian cinema, and his fans continue to celebrate his legacy.
