NSCDC Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society declares N13.6m profit for 2024

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Lagos  command Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society has declared N13.6 million as profit for the 2024 financial year (FY) ended.

Speaking at the command 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Lagos  on Thursday, Mr Kehinde Soetan, the President of the Cooperative, declared a net surplus of N13,667,187,14 and a dividend of 52.7 per cent of it as dividend for its 1006 members.

Soetan emphasised that the year 2024 was a successful one and listed some of the cooperative achievements to include the housing estate project, digitization of the Cooperative operations, increase in membership, investment in more viable and profitable projects.

He also identified challenges to include delay in remittance of deductions by IPPIS and default by some members.

Speaking, the State Commandant of the Corps and Patron of the society Commandant Adedotun Keshinro applauded the Cooperative Society for a succesful AGM while urging the members to always support the executive.

Keshinro who was represented by the second in command Deputy Commandant Olushola Jimoh assured that the management of the corps would always support the cooperative.

He described the housing estate project as a laudable one.

The Deputy Director of Cooperative in the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperative, Ikeja area Officer of Cooperatives,. Mrs Ayodeji Odukoya commended the Cooperative Society particularly for the housing project which she termed “House Delivery”.

Odukoya advised all other Cooperative Societies’ leadership to always think out of the box and come up with programmes and projects that are beneficial to their members.

She also advised all Cooperative Society members to always increase their savings.
