Family and friends of Pastor Daniel Nnaoma Oguh Meregini gathered at the RCCG Centre of Greatness Parish Ashiriabo Street, Isolo, Lagos to congratulate and to wish him many more years of health, productivity and growth at 50.
The celebration was anchored on Sunday, March 26, 2023, when members of his congregation and well-wishers bestowed on him their basket full of wishes.
The clergy has this to say,“ Yes, aside from giving thanks to God, being 50 means a whole lot to me but particularly a call to take up more responsibility of imparting in people within my sphere of influence, solving problems where any is identified and reaching out to the unreachable
A graduate of the University of Calabar where he obtained an honorary Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences ( BMLS) with a 97/98 graduating set.
He did his internship at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital Idiaraba Lagos where he got certified as an Associate Member of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria with a current licence to practice.
Pastor Daniel as fondly called, did his National Youth Service in Jigawa State and completed it in the year 2000 where he also engaged as a large-scale rice farmer.
He later did his Masters degree programme at the University of Lagos, Akoka where he graduated with a Masters degree in Haematology and Blood Transfusion, a very important field in the Medical Sciences.
Daniel attended many courses and conferences, both physical and virtual from many prestigious institutions home and abroad. He has many publications to his name both as author and co-author, published in reputable Journals at home and abroad.
In the course of his chosen career, he worked in several places, both private and public institutions;
These include Alberto Medical Laboratory Services and Blood Bank, Lagos University Teaching Hospital as the pioneer Scientist in the HIV treatment, support and care services programme in 2004, College of Medicine University of Lagos where he served diligently as an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences and proudly played a vital role in graduating the pioneer graduates of Medical Laboratory Science from University of Lagos.
He honourably exited the public service in 2018, after attaining the position of Principal Medical Laboratory Scientist from the Department of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, College of Medical Sciences University of Lagos.
Presently, he works with APIN Public Health Initiatives, a leading Non-governmental Organisation, funded to implement health programmes across medical diseases of public health importance, including HIV treatment, care and support, TB, Malaria and Covid-19 etc.
Daniel accepted and completed many national assignments where he served in the National Task team on HTS, Member, Document Review and Finalisation, and developing National guidelines on HIV Testing Services.
He is a National HTS Master Trainer and Consultant to FMOH/NASCP and implementing partners.
His spiritual journey, which has been quite engaging, began years ago when he knew the Lord as a secondary school student. He served as an executive member in the highly revered Christian Union Fellowship of the University of Calabar. He was also equally active in the drama department, Shalom Theatre.
Daniel began his Pastoral journey from Kazaure in Jigawa State and was in charge of a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at age 26, from there, back to Lagos State and served diligently as an Ordained minister in RCCG Cornerstone Parish where he served under spiritual fathers who among them is a mentor and coach Pastor Basil Ninis.
He obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Theology from the RCCG School of Mission and got ordained as a full Pastor in 2015. He is a visiting lecturer at RCCG School of Theology and has supervised many students.
He did not confer with flesh and blood by answering to heaven’s mandate as well as in many spiritual matters, today, he is the visioner and founder of Hands for Christ Global Outreach, which is a God-ordained vision born out of a passion to reach the unreached and extend the love of God through hands that are willing to spend and be spent for. John 13:34.
He is the Pastor in charge of an Area in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Centre of Greatness.
Oguh Daniel has travelled far and near in the course of his professional pursuit and touched base with virtually all regions of this country, from Jigawa in Northern Nigeria to Kano, Abuja, Nasarawa, Benue, the entire South West, South East, South-South but one, – just to say that travelling is part of his hobby. Little wonder God blessed him with an Igbo Hausa woman lol.
He has enjoyed the grace of God and goodwill from many while being a mentor to many as well.
Oguh Daniel is happily married to his heartthrob, Deaconess Oguh Esther Chinenye ( Nee Nnamani) who hails from Eha Amufu, Isi Uzo LGA in Enugu State and they are blessed with 4 wonderful Children, Daniella, Eudorah, Emmanuella and Emmanuel.
His parents, Elder( Chief)and Mrs Maxwell Ezekwem Oguh Meregini both of blessed memory, hail from Umuana Ndume Ibeku, Umuahia, in Abia State.
