Pregnant woman delivers at Onipanu Bus-stop in Lagos

A heavily pregnant woman on Monday was delivered of a bouncing baby boy at Onipanu Bus Stop, a suburb of Lagos.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) made the disclosure in a statement on Monday in Lagos.

LASEMA said that it received a distress call from the neighborhood and bystanders at the Onipanu Bus Stop at 9:00 a.m in respect of an heavily pregnant woman who unexpectedly went into labour at the bus stop while waiting to board a bus.

LRT and the agency’s paramedics moved in Swiftly in collaboration with some market women at the bus stop, provided a temporary makeshift in ensuring the safe delivery of the baby and the well-being of the mother.

Fortunately, the woman was successfuly delivered of a bouncing baby boy amidst jubilation.

The Agencies officials after stabilizing the mother and newborn infant quickly transported them to the nearest hospital for further medical care and Attention.
