The event which was organised by the Office of the Wife of the President in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education ended on Tuesday at the Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja.

The summit had the theme: “Empowering Teachers, Strengthening the System: A National Agenda for Education Transformation and Sustainability”.

She said Mr Chekwube Ifentike of Government Technical College, Onitsha, emerged the overall best teacher in the South-East and first runner-up nationally.

She noted that Ifentike’s feat earned the state a cash prize of N25 million.

According to her, the achievement is a reflection of deliberate planning, strong political will and a sustainable vision for education by the Soludo administration.

“The recognition goes beyond academics and underscores the state government’s heavy investment in education as a critical driver of human capital development and the future growth of Anambra.

“Teachers in the state have been empowered like never before to excel within and outside the classroom.

“Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration’s focus on education is already yielding positive results,” she said.

She also commended the First Lady of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, for her partnership with the Federal Ministry of Education, which she said made the summit a reality and a success.
