THE COLLECTIVE MOVEMENT (TCM), a socio-political group, has extended its heartfelt gratitude to Nigerians for their resilience and relentless pursuit of a better nation.

In a statement by its National Secretary, Nassir Aminu, on the first day of 2025, the group noted that Nigerians’ daily sacrifices inspire the group to keep pushing for the Nigeria of our dreams.

‘’At TCM, we remain committed to rescuing our nation from poor leadership and failed policies. We call on all well-meaning Nigerians to join us in the fight against critical challenges such as:

Rising Inflation and Economic Hardship: High inflation rates, fiscal deficits, and an unfavorable business environment have left Nigerians struggling to survive.

Fuel Subsidy Removal and Tax Reform: Policies like subsidy removal and the tax bill only worsen the plight of citizens while prioritising foreign interests over local welfare.

Insecurity and Poverty: Over a decade of unresolved insecurity has left many communities vulnerable, while widespread poverty is weaponized to control citizens.

Failed Governance and Judiciary: Silencing opposition voices, destabilizing political parties, and judicial bias threaten our democracy and public trust in institutions.’’

TCM said that as the nation approaches future elections, it urged INEC to prioritize credibility and transparency.

It added that the electronic transmission and collation of results must be fundamental to restoring public confidence, stressing that Nigeria cannot afford another flawed election cycle.

The group urged the government to address inflation, insecurity, and unemployment by prioritizing education, infrastructure, healthcare reforms, and, most importantly, citizens’ welfare.

TCM also encouraged the government to end policies that exploit Nigerians for international financial gains.

According to the group, 2024 proved that our voices matter.

‘’Let us unite in 2025 to demand accountability, justice, and progress. Only if we have one mind and one purpose can we secure a brighter future for our children and future generations.

TCM, however, wishes all a Happy New Year filled with peace, prosperity, and hope.
