The Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), South-East Zone, has attributed its endorsement of Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru for a second term to what it described as the implementation of his People’s Charter of Needs agenda.

The South-East Zonal Coordinator of the organisation, Chief Celestine Ekechi, made this known during a rally at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat in Abakaliki.

Ekechi said the endorsement reflected the organisation’s position that Nwifuru should have the opportunity to consolidate on his administration’s achievements if re-elected in 2027.

TSO Highlights Nwifuru’s Achievements

According to the zonal coordinator, the governor’s performance in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and youth and women empowerment informed the group’s decision.

He said the organisation had structures across polling units, wards and the 13 local government areas of Ebonyi State, which it planned to deploy in support of Nwifuru and other APC candidates during the 2027 general elections.

Ekechi added that the group would organise campaigns, mobilise voters and participate in political rallies throughout the electioneering period.

However, he appealed to the APC leadership in Ebonyi State to formally recognise the organisation as a party support group and provide operational assistance, including funding and vehicles, to facilitate its activities.

Group Seeks Inclusion in Campaign Organisation

Furthermore, Ekechi called on the governor’s campaign organisation to include qualified TSO members, citing their experience and contributions to the party.

He said members of the organisation worked for Nwifuru’s election in 2023 but had yet to benefit from appointments or empowerment programmes provided by the state government.

The zonal coordinator urged the APC leadership to address the concerns of the members, including those of the State Coordinator, Hon. Samuel Enyiukpo.

He also appealed to the party chairman to remind Nwifuru of an address presented to the governor during the organisation’s zonal courtesy visit in April 2026, when the group adopted him as its preferred APC candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

APC Chairman Responds to TSO’s Concerns

Responding, the APC Chairman in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha, acknowledged the issues raised by the organisation and said the party was addressing them gradually.

“We are handling issues gradually. We know this very well, and a lot of things are changing,” he said.

Okoro-Emegha added that the party would make gradual improvements, noting that support groups played important roles in its structure.

“Your visit has drawn my attention to the issues raised, and I urge members to remain engaged with the party,” he said.

About the Tinubu Support Organisation

The Tinubu Support Organisation, founded on June 22, 2022, by its Director-General, Alhaji Aminu Suleiman, is an APC support group established to promote President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and support the party’s candidates during elections.

The organisation’s South-East chapter said its endorsement of Nwifuru formed part of its political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
