U.S. speaks with UAE on their bilateral, regional issues

U.S. Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken

The U.S. Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken on Saturday spoke with UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

This is contained in a press release by the Principal Deputy Spokesperson, U.S. Department of State, Vedant Patel.

According to Patel, the Secretary and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah, discussed bilateral and regional issues, including both countries shared commitment to peace in Yemen.

Patel said that Blinken urged calm during the holiday season across the region and emphasised the urgency of de-escalating tensions between Israelis and Palestinians.

The Principal Deputy Spokesperson noted Blinken also reiterated the continued U.S. commitment to a two-state solution.

The United States will continue to consult closely with partners on how to advance regional security, stability, and prosperity.
