Vote “Only trustworthy candidates will be voted by Ebonyi South Zone”— APC ChieftainThe All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi South Senatorial Zone has said that people of the zone would vote for trustworthy candidates who would work for them.
The APC Ebonyi South District Chairman, Dr Ernest Nwaze made the disclosure at Uburu, Ohaoozara Local Governent Area (LGA) of the state, noting that the people were now wiser politically.
Nwaze said that the people can presently discern credible candidates from those seeking power without demonstrable capacity to deliver.
“I commend the party in the state for the emergence of Osborne Umahi as the party’s Chairmanship Candidate for Ohaozara LGA in the August 22, 2026 council polls.
“The son of the Minister of Works Sen. David Umahi possesses the needed capacity as his choice reflects our commitment to field candidates with the pedigree and competence.
“We are presenting candidates who.would consolidate the development agenda of the Governor Francis Nwifuru and not those with unrealisable tales,”.
He noted that the overwhelming acceptance of the APC candidates across the council indicates that the electorate has confidence in the party and its leadership.
“Ebonyi South will not back those who gamble with our future as people will differenciate between genuine leadership and desperation to be noticed during election periods.
“We urge party supporters and residents of the zone to remain united as the APC has demonstrated sufficient capacity through its programmes and policies,”
The zonal party chairman thanked Governor Nwifuru for his purposeful and people-oriented leadership, noting that it has strengthened the party’s political structure across the state.
“I also applaud the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi for his contributions towards national development especially through infrastructure.
“Party faithful should mobilise voters for its candidates as a united electoral mandate will consolidate its developmental programmes at the grassroots.
“There is no electoral prospect for opposition parties in Ebonyi South, because we have established formidable political structures across the district,”.
