The people of Umuahia the capital of Abia State have vowed to use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), to secure victory for the Young Progressives Party (YPP) candidate, Sir Innocent Nwachukwu.
Nwachukwu is contesting as a lawmaker representing the Umuahia East state constituency at the 2023 forthcoming general elections.
The residents, who spoke in an interview with 108scoop described the candidate as the most qualified for the Umuahia East seat, saying that he had continued to make waves in the minds of the people as well as various communities within Umuahia.
They said that the election of the YPP candidate would enable him to continue with his human and community development drive around and across the area.
“Sir Nwachukwu is a gentleman par excellence who falls among the early political juggernaut with his philosophy to serve humanity.
“The capacity-driven technocrat, philanthropist and astute political Amazon have continued to touch the lives of many, particularly the down trodden in our society.
“He is enriched with a sense of human kindness, which is needed in the political spheres to propel good governance,’’ Uchechukwu Osinachi said.
Osinachi described the candidate as a progressive-minded young man who possesses the requisite knowledge of legislative business, as well as the character that a good leader requires to make a difference.
“We must support this God-fearing young man with a genuine desire of entrenching quality representation of Umuahia East state constituency, to the admiration of all.’’
According to Obi Nwakama, a civil servant, a vote for the YPP candidate is a vote for the party with developmental ideology.
“Nwachukwu is our voice and choice for the Abia State House of Assembly come 2023, we shall all rejoice to the glory of God for his victory.
“He is a service-oriented fellow, accessible and transparent man. The time has come for the people of Ndume and Umuahia to make a right choice of choosing a credible candidate who will not seek selfless interest,” Nwakama said.
Nwakama said they are confident that the candidate would pursue vigorously policies and programs that would change the narratives in terms of representation and uplift of the living standards of the people.
