
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate for the 2027 election, has congratulated Peter Obi on his 65th birthday and praised his service to Nigeria’s democracy.
Atiku shared the birthday message on his verified X handle. He described Obi as his dear brother and praised his commitment to public service.
“I warmly congratulate my dear brother, HE Peter Obi, @PeterObi, on his 65th birthday. I celebrate his remarkable journey, steadfast commitment to public service, and contributions to our democracy,” he said.
Atiku prayed for Obi’s future. He wished him renewed strength, wisdom, good health and fulfilment. He ended the message by saying, “Happy birthday, Peter.”
Also, Atiku congratulated the New NBA President, Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, on her election as the 33rd President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
He said her victory showed the confidence lawyers have in her leadership. He added that her election marked another important milestone for women in the legal profession.
Atiku described the NBA as a key institution that protects constitutional democracy, the rule of law, human rights and judicial independence.
He urged the association’s new leadership to defend those values with courage and independence while promoting equal access to justice for all Nigerians.
He wished Badejo-Okusanya and her team a successful and impactful tenure.
