Senator Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has dismissed the idea of becoming Peter Gregory Obi’s running mate
He also dismissed the moral idea that its the turn of the south
He said the permutations and calculations that should matter to the coalition now should be electability and how to oust Tinubu
And so, many Obidients living in alternative reality have started to kick and jab
Some said Kwankwaso is a grandstanding local politician, wearing red caps, intoxicated with the braggadocio of only Kano votes
Others said he has no pathways to Aso Rock and can only be a president, if Kano is a country
Some Others said Kwankwaso is elusive. A monkey post politician that parades himself as a national institution with the cunningness of a roadside Magician
They said Kwakwanso is missing a golden opportunity to have his name on record as one of those who salvaged Nigeria from one-party system, collapse and underdevelopment but ego and conspirators will not allow him to see the bigger picture of a new and prosperous Nigeria.
Yet we have to Give Sen. Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso his flowers;
Two time Governor, Former Senator and Minister of Defense.
A founding member of APC, who came second in the APC presidential primary in 2014 leaving Atiku trailing a distant third. And if not for the influence of Tinubu and co, would have defeated Buhari, fair and square.
Kwankwaso is a grassrooted mobilizer. The kawnkwasiyya movement cannot be birthed by a loafer or no dey give shishi
So Kwankwaso must be a man of some virtue.
He knows the core north will not vote obi irrespective of who his running mate is. And this might affect the chances of the coalition when conspiracy theorists go to work.
Now, Those still living in alternative reality want to fly Obi-Tambuwal combo and hope in the meantime that the Alliance can gain some traction in the north
Yet Atiku-Obi Ticket remains the most formidable, though it may not inspire some Obidients at onset, but once it gathers the Northern steam and the Obidiency smells victory, their energy will hit the roof top.
Atiku has the weight. Obi has the momentum
The next few months will determine whether the coalition can avoid the infighting that fractured opposition in 2023.
Ekenem.
