Premium energy-malt drink Zagg

Premium energy-malt drink Zagg has confirmed its partnership with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The partnership, which is coming ahead of the 2023 CAF AFCON qualifier match between Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau, makes Zagg the official energy drink of the Super Eagles and other National Teams, including the Super Falcons, Dream Team, Flamingos Team, and Golden Eaglets.

Zagg, an energy drink with the nourishing goodness of brewed malt, successfully launched recently and has taken the Nigerian market by storm.

According to Olaoluwa Babalola, Portfolio Manager – Beyond Beer, Nigerian Breweries Plc., the brand’s partnership with the NFF is a testament to its commitment to ensuring the accelerated and sustainable development of sports in Nigeria, particularly football.

“Football is a passion shared by millions of Nigerians,” he remarked.

“It is a beautiful game that brings friends, families and fans of the game together for 90 minutes of exhilarating action and high-energy entertainment. As a brand, we recognise the importance of this game.

“More importantly, we recognise the passion points that bind lovers of the game together — unflinching loyalty, hope, joy and camaraderie.

“These are passion points we identify with as a brand, and it makes us immensely thrilled for the opportunity to partner with the Nigeria Football Federation as the official energy drink starting with the match against Guinea-Bissau,” Olaoluwa Babalola added.

Regarding the partnership, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, said, “We are proud to have Zagg as our official energy drink sponsor. With their partnership, we are certain that we will advance sports development in Nigeria, one game at a time.”

Billed to happen today, Friday, 24 March 2023, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, the upcoming match between Nigeria and Guinea promises to be an exciting game for football fans nationwide.
