The governorship candidate of the fastest growing political party in Abia State, the Young progressive party (YPP), Engr. Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor says Abia youths are endowed with a lot of potential that will put them at various positions in the governance of the state.
The governorship hopeful made this known in his message to commemorate this year’s International Youth Day, made available by Mr Ben Udechukwu, Director, Media & Publicity, NanaOfuji Campaign Organisation.
According to him, the theme’s message is revealing to the youths that they are not bootlickers, crumb eaters, decorative accessories and thugs, never-do-wells or second fiddles.
Nwafor noted that youths in the state had the strength to effect the desired change, which is what the God’s own state needed in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
He added that they are entitled to a fair share of the benefits as the exact indigenes of their state as well as being citizens of the country, Nigeria.
“The society is simply asking each one to aid one another, a kind of community living where we eschew violence, reduce conflicts while helping each other when needed,” the YPP governor candidate said, while commending the theme of this year’s celebration: “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages”.
The candidate, who is the founder of “Each One Aid One Foundation’’, urged the youths to be wary of being involved in any engagement that would reduce their value.
According to him, being involved in wrong activities will deprive them of getting their welfare.
He also advised them to start now to cross-examine the present PDP led administration in the state.
The candidate, however, assured the youths that he would continue to pursue ideals that would promote long lasting support for them.
“This informed my decision over the years; through the Each One Aid One Foundation to offer a lifeline to young entrepreneurs.
“Support their education and the recent initiative of training a total of 100,000 youths in various skills acquisition in four phases, with the first phase of 5,000 starting on Aug. 16, 2022.
Beautiful one. God bless YPP in Abia
